It’s a brand new season of The Yarn Thing podcast! Marly kicks things off with Anne Hanson of Knitspot. Anne has been knitting for a long time. She took a few different paths before ending up more focused on her own designs and business. She is also an established blogger! Anne is a prolific designer and she shares a bit of her process. Listen to find out Anne’s favorite designs! Have you knit a Highlander sweater?
The Bare Naked Club 2013 has signups open until the club sells out. Shipping starts in February 2013! What is it? This is a collection of yarn that will be shipped out once a month, six months at a time. There is a Fall club, which is a series of colors and small projects that are perfect for holiday gifts. Also included is an ebook with photographs and information. The Bare Naked Club is made up of “close-to-the-farm” yarns, collaborating with mills over dyers. The yarns last year included several U.S. wools and fibers from around the world. Every month, the chapter of the e-book described the fiber history and how the yarn is made. Stay tuned for the upcoming yarn line that will be in the Knitspot shop soon!
A lucky listener won the Bare Naked Club 2013 e-book during the show! Congratulations!
There is a second giveaway! Leave a comment on these show notes and you’ll be entered to win a gift certificate to the Knitspot Pattern Shop! Don’t forget the keyword!
