Abbreviations:
ch: chain
dc: double crochet
tc: treble crochet
st(s): stitch/stitches
Special Stitches:
Spike Double Crochet (spike dc): (dc, dc into center stitch of previous row directly below ch-1 space, dc) all in the same ch-1 space.
This is called something else in the video but it is the spike stitch. Take a look if you are struggling:
